Thanks

No it is not compatible with VS2012.  The next release of VSPAT [release:94069] will fix that.

Visual Studio 2012 changed the location of extensions when installed. Unfortunately, VSPAT depends on that location being deterministic for Pattern Toolkit project files to load correctly.

When will this release be available?

I'll be honest with you. This is not clear to us.

We have issues with libraries (Feature Builder Extension) that we are dependent upon, being VS2012 compatible. Currently they do not install into VS2012. We are in discussion with the owners of that extension now. But it seems without re-writing those libraries we are going to be at their mercy - arrrrggghh! not ideal at all.

An update [10/16/2012]

We have decided to start developing a minimal release of VSPAT for VS2012, see: [release:96323], that gives us all the capabilities of VSPAT except Guidance, which the Feature Builder Power Tool provides us.

This release will at least give us a new release of VSPAT that works with VS2012 and side-by-side with VS2010, that we can move forward with whilst we figure out how to support guidance moving forward.

This new release, is now in development and we expect completion soon.
