Any way to notify parent element?

Is there any way to notify a parent element when a child has changed in some way?

Yes.

The OnPropertyChangedEvent fires for any property of any element. We used to configure for the toolkit builder and an automatic condition that filters to make sure that the current element is the owner of the property that raises the event. Now I think we do that automatically, which I guess means that you no longer have control over who handles the event. Sorry, just letting you know what I know.

The other option is to create your own event, and fire it from the child element, and of course configure automation on the parent to catch that event.
Perhaps we have another option??? kzu???

Regardless, there is normally another pattern that can be used to achieve the same thing.
If you let us know what you want to do perhaps we can make a design suggestion hat works within the constraints of what we already have?

@Jezzsa let's meet on this later today and then summarize this pattern on the thread when we get done.
